Additional Fans for This Build?

newoski

Hi All,

I'm putting together a new air-cooled, non-overclocked 3900x + dual GTX 2080 TI build for rendering. I've chosen the Cooler Master H500 case (mesh front, no acrylic cover), based on its high airflow, but I'd appreciate any help on the best way to cool this case, based on my specs below:

Cooler Master MasterCase H500 ATX Mid Tower Case

Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER ATX AM4 Motherboard

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor (NO OVERCLOCK)
Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Corsair Vengeance LPX 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Intel 660p Series 2.048 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
TWO EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB Black Video Cards
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB Black Video Card
Corsair RMx 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

The case comes with:

2x200mm RGB fans in front

1x120mm fan in the rear

And has space for:

TOP: 2x120mm OR 2x140mm OR 1x200mm

REAR: 1x120mm (unclear if this is a replacement for the 1x140 that's already there)

Any tips on how to best cool this case, with the dual 2080 TI and stock 3900x would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The stock case fans should be fine unless you find them too noisy.

Adding a top exhaust at the rear could help but you can always test for temps before deciding on whether or not to get new fans.

Moved to Air Cooling.
