Problem: CPU overheating

ive tried different temperature monitor programs for reading cpu temps, the best i found was Speccy, i also monitor inside the bios. I dont think that the cpu is faulty as it works just like it should besides it overheating. Idle temperatures are 50-60 degrees celcius, when gaming goes up to 80-90 degrees celcius. I have the issue of course it reaches peak temp threashold and shuts the computer down. Running only youtube on a 1440x900 monitor it seems to be able to stay cool enough to keep running but when i switched over to a 1920x1080 monitor it crashed within 15 minutes of use. Ive tried liquid cooling, ive tried different air coolers, and just recently i tried to underclock from 4.1GHz to 3.9 in a msi bios control panel that runs on windows and right after i clicked apply the computer acted as if only half of the cpu died. Usb devices were disconnecting and reconnecting, graphics card was going on and off, it was just really strange to see because i havent seen anything like it before. Im looking for help, any help at all would be amazing.

on those cpus the temperature sensor might be 20° over the real reading, i wouldnt trust the sensors with those old amd motherboards and cpus

is this motherboard?

have you used hwmonitor on that motherboard?

can you look at values and take a screenshot, specifically of tmpin temperature values?

it also wont let me lower the voltage, only cpu ratio and base clock, base clock only from 100 to 105. When I go to lower the ratio the computer just flips out till it kills its self pretty much..

those values are from cpu under load or at idle?

in my fm2 motherboard the tmpin1 is the sensor for the cpu on the socket, none of the values there is even close to be concerning

try to run prime 95 for 3 minutes and take another capture of the sensors like the one you did

So if speccy and bios temps were wrong and hwmonitor is right, i mean just sitting in bios my temps are 45-50 degrees on idle, just in bios.. so im not understanding how this works.

i dont think the problem is cpu overheating, none of those values could be called hot

it might be more related to psu or gpu, try to remove gpu drivers using ddu, also lower your gpu overclock values

did you disabled the gpu in the cpu? the apu part? that is done on bios

I'm not sure how to do that, I thought it was done automatically, because if I try to use on-board graphics while the gtx 1060 is in there it wont use on-board graphics. Do I still need to disable the gpu on the apu and how would i do that?

some motherboards do that, others dont, i havent done it on a msi motherboard in some time so cant guide you there

use ddu to remove nvidia driver to later install a new driver and lower overclock on gpu

I have nvidia geforce experience which installs the latest drivers for my card as they come out. It was also crashing well before I did the overclock, even before I put the 1060 card in the machine..

All the parts are refurbished from ebay except gpu and power supply, those are brand new from amazon.
