Case: CORSAIR Carbide 270R Mid-Tower Case

The main goal of this new build would be a system that can handle anything i can throw at it without hesitation. I do some pretty basic 2D CAD for work, nothing too demanding there. I'm currently becoming very interested in character and level design for animation and video games, but not even close to a novice level on this. I currently edit video and audio for youtube/ podcasts and the rendering times are getting to be horribly long on my current PC. I game a lot when i can and want a PC that can handle most games on high or ultra settings in 1440p. Just wondering if this build is way off for my needs or am i closer than i think?

Swap for crucial mx500

These two things should save quite a bit of cash.

Get the 2070 super or get the better rx 5700xt when partner cards come in the next weeks.

You can save a lot here by grbbing a rmx 650watt or TXM or bequiet pure power 11 600w cm.

Get a good aircooler instead. Just as good and you avoid the reliability concerns

Those are the main changes that shoild be applied to the build.
