Discord app interefering with battery?

Hi first off I'd like to apologize if this not the subforum for this question , but I honestly am clueless what to do right now.

So for the past day I've been using the official macOS discord app on my macbook air 2018 and I have noticed a very weird software glitch , where my macbook will display a certain percentage of battery in the log screen (say 80%) and a completely different value like 83-84% when im signed.I've noticed that this only happens when I have previously installed discord on my mac (it persists after uninstalling the app). I did run the hardware diagnostics test + my laptop was at an AASP about a week ago due to unrelated issue so I doubt the issue is the hardware itself. Also my computer is about a month old and the battery is listed as healthy (14 cycles). The concerning thing though is that the battery sensors show it running at around 35 degrees celsius (im not sure if this is within spec) and that whenever I'm running the app itself or the discord webapp parts of my laptop get slightly warmer than usual (however the CPu temperature sensors show the temperature as 40/50 degrees celsius and the fans do not kick in .

My question , is this a reason to RMA it or is it just discord being discord?
