Case & CPU fan configuration

Hello!

My name is Steven, I'm new here & it's nice to meet you all!

I have just finished building my computer, I am quite inexperienced and I have signed up to this forum for some advice and guidance if possible please.

My fan configuration:

x2 Corsair AF140mm for intake on the front of the case

x1 Corsair AF140mm for exhaust on rear of the case + x2 Corsair AF120mm for exhaust on top of the case

My cooler is a  Dark Rock Pro 4 - I have the Silent Wings 3 fan pushing air through it on the right - Silent Wings 3 135mm fan in the middle pushing and pulling air and then an additional 120mm Silent Wings fan pulling the air out of the cooler next to the rear extractor.

I am after a little advice regarding the fan configurations and as to whether how I have set it up is sufficient or whether it could be optimised at all please. I'm running an i7 8700k at 4.8GHz at 1.25v with thermal kryonaught paste and it idles around 40-48c and during stress tests 75-81c - ambient temperature is quite warm at the moment unfortunately.

first, excellent job

the airflow apart from the fans you set depends on the case, what phanteks case do you have there?

i dont see any way to have better airflow apart from what you have already honestly

the idle temperature of the cpu is a bit high, is it a delided cpu?

anyway, as you mention, ambient temperature is not friendly where you are, so it should be just fine

Thank you so much for your help! - It's not delided no, I was considering doing it, as I've read reviews regarding this CPU and temps. But I do not feel confident enough in doing it  unfortunately. As long as you feel those temps at idle and during heavy load are okay though, then that's good enough for me!

Mine doesn't move from between 39-41c - I guess I just have a hot chip like you :D

imagine how hot that pc would get without leds or rgb!

rgb improves performance by 50%!!!

about deliding, it voids any form of warranty, but it seems is a good idea on that cpu, intel decided to use some brand of toothpaste instead of a good tim, so might help, or might be a waste of time and money, so dont loose your sleep about the brand of toothpaste intel prefers
