 you can see 4 pin in the connector, as the picture below. Will the NVMe 5pin work in it

look up in your motherboard manual what "key" slot it is (it'll say something like "M.2 B key")

then look up what "key" the SSD is.

 

if they match - yes. if they dont match - no.

What laptop is it?
It's probably on the laptop's spec sheet or manual if it supports NVMe drives, I can't imagine anything else that slot would be used for.
