How much to ask for my old Laptop?

Hello dear community ?

as i just finished Building my new rig, i thought about selling my old HP Omen Laptop.

only problem is that i have no clue for how much such machines go on the used market.

16GB DDR4

GTX 1070 (Desktop Card NON MaxQ)

500GB SSD

17" 60hz 1080p G-Sync Display

if there is any Information missing feel free to ask

any help is greatly appriciated

i thought about this too, but is i can tell from the Dates of the ads, those Laptops sit there since at least half a year.

so clearly it's not only me noting that the sellers are asking too much.

hence why i like to know what a fair Price would be for such a system

A "fair" price isn't always equivalent to what others are willing to pay for it. Life isn't always "fair"

Start by pricing it just below the other listed. If it doesn't sell, lower the price 5% at a time until you receive an offer.

ok, it's just that the most recent one that's closest to mine is advertised for 1500€, and that one only has a 1060

the cheapest ad for a comparable machine is about 1300€. this one has a 1070 as well, but only 8GB of RAM and only a 256GB SSD. and the ad is nearly 8 month old.

both that offerings are more than i payed for my machine in the first place XD

so it'll make me feel really uncomfortable and dirty trying to sell mine for that much.

but ok,i'll try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If it makes you feel uncomfortable, sell it for what YOU believe it is worth. Unfortunately, if you sell it for less, there are people out there who will buy it in a heartbeat just to sell it again at an inflated price.

i do get your Point.

naturally i do not want to sell it too cheap, but of course i do not want to ask too much for it as well, and maybe "scam" (in lack of a better word, not a native Speaker) some kid who is looking for a semidecent Laptop.

thats why i was posting here, bc i thought maybe there are some People that have some expirience with this matter and can tell in an instant what a Laptop like this might be resonably priced at.

never mind, i'll ask for 999€ or something along those lines and see what will happen.

i payed 1250€ for it 2 1/2 years ago. so 999€ still "feel" a bit overpriced IMO, but as all other People seem to play the same game i'll go with it.
