need some help making a upgrade decision

so i currently have a i3 4130 dual core right now, i do have a opportunity to go to a i5 4440s without* spending a dime. would the two extra cores be enough to be worth swapping it out right now or should i upgrade to a more modern platform? keep in mind money is a bit tight right now so going all new is a little distant. my current gpu is a 1050ti

how much are you getting the 4440s? its the cut down version of the normal 4440

i already have the 4440s it's in a old pre built that was not scraped yet,
