Hey guys

I've recently bee looking into upgrading my graphics card because my GTX 660 just isn't cutting the latest titles on ultra with a stable frame rate. The card I think looks solid is a GTX 780 because I play at 1080p but I like an average frame rate of 120. It would be very helpful and much appreciated if someone could give advice and experiences they have had with this card and the latest titles.

What FPS do you get with the settings maxed out on 1080p with?:

-Battlefield 4

-Assassins Creed Black Flag

-Call of duty Ghosts

-Far cry 3

-Crysis 3

Also wanted to know if I'll be getting any bottlenecks with an i7 3820?

Thanks :)

only AC4 at max and Crysis 3 at max will give you some problems.

(AC4 is an unoptimized mess, and Crysis is demanding)

AC4 is actually fixed now :), i get an easy 100 + FPS on TXAA x4 and everything maxed :P ,

But the answer to your question not really just with games that are mainly AMD based you will see a few less frames than AMD cards would cause that game is of course optimised for AMD.

You lucky so and so. I played AC4 yesterday and I wasn't getting above 45 FPS ):

my i7 920 does not bottleneck my 2 780s when I tested it so your i7 wont be bottlenecking anything for a good long while.

you wont be getting 120FPS on games like crysis 3 on ultra with even 2 780tis. really I would look at getting a second 660 if you can find one for under 200. because all the games you listed have really good sli scaling. or I would just lower settings down to high (still looks just as good IMO) and wait for GTX 880 in a few months.

Thanks :) I'll wait for the 880 in a few months and just buy another 660 now :)

How much better do you think the 880 will be in compare to 780-780ti?
