Unable to access OS (Windows 10)

I was during the process for backing up files to dvd

I take a break so I sleep the pc and the screen went immediately black and restarted. During the starting of pc the windows logo and spinning circle and then reboot few time then it went automatic repair but it was unable to fix the windows. So I tried system restore thet failed and reboot. But somehow the windows booted to desktop so I started coping from C drive to another partition (same drive)  it copied and in verifying the files that copy then it automatically restarted and the same problem occur I need to get to windows so I start backing up files to dvd

Can I use live Ubuntu to backup files on usb drive

Notes to keep-

Windows installation is almost 3 years old

Hard drive status is good

Only gpu and ram were upgraded

The pc is over 5 years old

8GB RAM

750ti

GA-78lmt-usb3 rev 5.0

CX550 installed on December 2017
