Choosing a laptop

Hi everyone

I know I made a previous post about this but my circumstances have changed.

I am looking for a laptop for university for lectures and documents in the day and for a small bit of photo editing (not essential as im taking my pc to do extensive tasks but would be nice) and general browsing and video watching.

I have student discount at hp and dell and have mate that works at currys so I can also get discount there, so could the suggestions be from these sites. (all 10% discounts)

700 Pounds budget after discount

Things i would like is an ssd, 14 inch or smaller (i think smaller would be more portable), average battery life of 5+ hours.

I was looking at the huawei matebook 13 but id like to see if there are any other suggestions. I will also go look instore and try before I buy.

Thanks for the help

Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradeable RAM?

I believe Lenovo also offers student discount (that's how I got my laptop)

As long as its 8gb i think it should be enough for a while doing what i'm doing with it. If i'm honest a display is a display to me lol, as long as it looks ok.

I get my discounts through a thing called Unidays and lenovo is not on there, so i'm not sure I can get that one.

Thank you very much, I shall look through these now. When you say ask for the code do I just enquire to customer service?
