Help with port forwarding

Hi guys,

I've been trying to port forward a minecraft server for the past few days and its just not working. My server is on a ZHXN H108N V2.5 router (just the one from my service provider). But I am having a bit of trouble.

Here is what I put into the port forwarding menu:

Enabled: True

Protocol: TCP

Name: minecraft

WAN Host Start IP Address: blank

WAN Host End IP Address: blank

WAN Connection: I left it as default

WAN Start Port: 25565

WAN End Port: 25565

Enable MAC making: false

LAN Host IP Address: 192.168.254.107

LAN Host Start Port: 25565

LAN Host End Port: 25565

Once I Port forwarded, I restarted the router and there server, but it still didn't work. The local server works, but for some reason the public IP didn't

can someone help?

This looks right to me. Maybe check the local firewall settings on the server. I find it easier to turn the firewall completely off for troubleshooting purposes, once I get it to work I start turning firewalls back on.

The server is on a raspberry pi, I'll try it out later, I have to go out now :)

Thanks a bunch

Some service providers also have a port forwarding option in their web portal. Worth a look if opening firewall on pc isn't enough to get it working.

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Don't forget to tag or quote in your reply if you want me to know you've answered or have another question.

HMMMMM...

It hasn't seemed to work, even thought the firewall is disabled.

I will try playing around in the web portal later

Maybe try a different WAN port, some ISP's block certain ports, try WAN port 80 and also check if your firewall permits inbound traffic on that port
