Hey guys,

My rig that you see below that I'm planning to build this year will primarily be a video editing rig and so I'm wondering, do you think I would need any larger SSD than 250GB? Because I've been thinking about possibly going for a 500GB one.

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

Well obviously any projects I do I would want them on the SSD for a while and then I would move them to the 2TB HDD. I do film a lot of videos and they're at 1080i of which then I use Handbrake to convert them to 1080P and I always keep the original.

putting videos on a ssd would help that much however if you were to put editing programs on it, it may speed up the time it takes to run them

I'd just get a 120GB and get a 2 or 3 TB hard drive and save some money.

I do plan on getting a 4TB external HDD for backups.

Would you mind rephrasing that please? Just not quite sure what you're trying to say.

By putting them on the SSD? Yeah I realise that. The SSD will be my boot drive. With the HDD as the storage drive.
