500w PSU for Ryzen 3700x build

Hey guys, I'm upgrading my i5 2500k build, to this:

 

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x

RAM: 2x8Gb 3600cl16

MOBO: MPG X570 Gaming Edge wifi

 

On the current build (that I will keep

1x gtx 1060 6gb rog strix oc

1x samsung 250gb evo plus

1x sdd kingston A400 120gb

1x sdd kingston A400 960gb

1x hdd 2tb

and like 6 rgb fans and 1 rgb strip with 2 meters or so

 

My current PSU is 500w, working since the 2500k came out... is 500w enought? Should I also upgrade it? Or keep it for a while to save a few money.

What's your advice on the subject?

Which 500w PSU? Make and model.

If you purchased it when the i5 2500K came out that would make it 8 years old, so I would recommend replacing it regardless.

This was a pretty underwhelming unit back in 2012, very much likely garbage by today's standards (without offense :3)

 

But seriously like stated above, if you're doing such an upgrade with the latest and greatest hardware you should ensure it's safety with a more up-to-date unit... strongly recommend you to replace it and we can help you if you tell us your budget and options.

To answer your earlier question, 500w would be more than enough for a system with a 3700x + GTX 1060. The GTX1060 is a fairly low powered card, only needing around 125w or so. Total system power consumption should be under 300w.

Because the stuff will arrive today, and I still have to choose and buy the new psu... and I'm too damn excited to wait!

Budget, it's hard to say... less than possible... I've already spent too much on the PC and my wife will kill me. lol

The problem is that the board needs the 24pins, 8 and 4, and most psu comes with only 24 and 4+4...

The secondary 4pin CPU is optional, not required. I really wish motherboard manufacturers would clearly state this...

Nothing, really. The 8pin EPS12V cable is capable of supplying more than enough power for a CPU like the Ryzen 3700X. You might want to use it if you were putting a 3900x (or 3950x) under LN2 and overclocking it, or maybe if you want to spread the load across multiple rails on multi-rail PSUs, but other than that it's really just there because people think more CPU power connectors = must be better overclocking.

I also only see 750w+ with that kinda pins. 

Should I save more money and get one with it?
