Upgrading my old FX to i5 6600

Hello there, I’ve got offer to upgrade my FX 6350 to a newer i5 6600 for a just around 110$ with mother board and 16g of RAM. Will it hold up with my actual GTX 970? I just wanna play games like Apex, Horizon 4, ... in 1080p. Do I should upgrade?

Yes its a worthy upgrade if you got it that cheap.

The AMD FX line was rather crap.

It's worth it. I've owed both of those chips a few years back and the i5 will provide a significant performance boost.

Intel Core i7 9700F / Cooler Master 212 Evo / GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER / 16 GB G.SKILL RAM @ 2666MHz / GA-B365M-DS3H / EVGA 500w PSU

HP Pavilion Gaming 15 / Ryzen 5 4600H / GeForce GTX 1050 / 8 GB @ 3200MHz
