How do I replace water cooler with air cooler?

I am in the process of building a new pc and would like to use the AIO from my old PC in my new PC.  I bought a Hyper 212 to replace my Corsair H105 in my old PC.

 

My question is, how do I swap them out?  Do I need to take the bracket which is stuck on with adhesive of the motherboard from the H105 and replace it with the 212's bracket?  Or can I re-use the h105's bracket for the 212?  If so, how would you recommend me removing the h105's bracket which is stuck to the back of the motherboard with adhesive?

there shouldnt be any adhesive on the mounts. It could just be crud from being on for so long.

 

The 212 should have come with proper brakets. I doubt the old ones will fit since 212's mount weird.

 

just remove everything from the watercooler, brackets, etc. Then use the 212 brackets. Make sure you clean the old thermal paste off the cpu.

Remove anything that was not originally on the motherboard. 

Join HWBot or OCN

1. There's no adhesive. Only OEM PCs use those for their non-compatible coolers to make changing them as hard as possible. if you have installed AIO once, you must know how to take it off, and how to install another cooler. If not, just follow manuals.
