Vesa Mount setup thoughts

I'm trying to mount 3 monitors onto my desk with clamps.

 

I have two 24 inch monitors and one 27 inch monitor.

 

I'd like to set them up with the 27 inch in the middle and the 24 inch on the sides

 

I was wondering: 

 

if it'd be best to buy dual arm mount and one single arm mount and put my 24 and 27 inch on the dual and the other 24 inch on the single arm

 

-or-

 

if I should buy single arm mounts for all three?

From my personal experience, I'd go with three single mounts. Its just more flexible,. And  I suppose you could simply put multiple single mounting arms on the same "tube" you screw onto your desk, so you have the best of both. Depends on what quality you go for. Word of advice: don't cheap out on the mount for the 27". Mine is a tiiiny bit too weak to comfortly hold it in position, so every time I adjust the screen (I have a 27" and 23" mounted above each other) - it's a balancing game to keep it from sagging down again -.-

It's a bit unruly for me and a bit pricey. But looking at it now it is tempting.

Unfortunately, I don't since I haven't looked into any replacements yet. But I suppose you're better off going with a fixed mount like the one you linked instead of something with springs. You lose the ability to height adjust, but you also avoiding unintended height adjustments caused by gravity

Thanks for considering our mount!  The one in the link has some limits to how far it can be pushed back, so it may present some difficulty if your desk isn't too deep.  We have a newer model with an arm that's able to fold back on itself: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074G56JCQ

Or if you have plenty of room to work, we have a triple mount large enough to support the monitors with the sides curved in to a comfortable position: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0798K58B4

The arms are very long though, so the single mounts may be a better option if you don't have a lot of room to work.

It's a bit unruly for me. I don't have much space behind the desk as it is pushed right up against the wall. Also for flexibility so that if I buy a bigger monitor or an ultrawide I can just swap out the one instead of potentially the whole thing.
