NAS or Desktop Performance Drive

Generally speaking NAS drives have better endurance tolerances compared to regular consumer drives.

In essence they're higher binned parts.

So I'm looking into buying a new hard drive to install my steam games to, and I've decided to get a Toshiba 4TB drive.

It is a NAS drive, however there seems to be a desktop 'performance" counterpart.

From what I can tell the NAS drive is just the same drive, but with a three year warranty, instead of the two year that comes with the "performance" one.

 

Would there be any advantage to buying the desktop performance one, or should I just go with the NAS one for the longer warranty?

This used to be a signature with a bunch of specs, but they're outaded.

They're the same price so you may as well just get the NAS drive to get the extra warranty.

Awesome, I'll pick up the NAS one then.
