Enabling Virtualization on windows 10 pro

You don't need to. Virtualization options in the BIOS are for enabling or disabling hardware virtualization features. You can still create and run VMs even if those options are not enabled, they just won't run as fast.

I do not want to use Hyper-V and VMware wont install my virtual machines if virtualization is not enabled

I've used VirtualBox without Virtualization options enabled. In fact I've had cases where they weren't set in BIOS and I only found out because when setting the VM options it told me they weren't enabled but it wouldn't stop me from using the VM.

 

But again, you don't need hardware virtualization features to use a VM. You just won't get close-to-native performance when running the VM.

that doesn't even compute. are you sure that ur not messing up with the config since it wont boot the vm ?

Have you tried virtualbox? What i5 is that exactly? Not all cpus support hardware virtualization.

heh. kali. hehehe. if you cant even get a VM to work you have no business in kali. but are you sure you downloaded the right iso ?

No, the problem is the other computers I used enabling virtualization was quite and yes I am just starting out using Kali but I need it for my upcoming cybersecurity classes. Could you guide on  selecting the right ISO or atleast tell me the ones that wont work

https://www.kali.org/downloads/ the 65bit one should work just fine on vmware. if you continue to have issues let me know what exactly is going wrong and i can go to my pc and see if i can recreate the issue

the 64 bit the first on the option on kali downloads is what I am using. The installation phase fails and the error is 'the target is unclean"

you could just try to use the "premade" vm ware stuff they provide on kali. " https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-vm-vmware-virtualbox-image-download/ "
