Bent CPUs?

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

it'll either not fit, or you'll push so hard on it you'll bend the pins even more.

and then, if said bent pins make shorts, and you try to power it up, pretty much anything can happen.

What will happen if a cpu with bent pins tries to go inside the socket?

The pins could get bent even more. If it's only a couple then you can bend them back but if they bend too much they could break off, in which case the CPU is probably dead.

I recently just installed my CPU into the motherboard. It fit perfectly right in. I didn't have to push it in or anything like that. This is good right?
