Difference between X570 motherboards?

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade to a new Ryzen 3700X and i'm currently looking at motherboards. What are the real differences between the cheaper ones and the more expensive ones? I'm looking at the ASUS ROG Strix X570-E vs, for example, the Gigabyte X570 Gaming X. What are the features that justify the huge price difference?

The strix has more power phases (and probably better ones), more PCIe room and an additional reinforced slot, more fan headers, more robust I/O, and that sweet, sweet ROG branding.

The Strix-E actually looks like a decent board but for that price you might as well just grab the Crosshair Hero..

I personally can't decide between the MEG ACE and the Hero.. Last time I went through like 4 or 5 X470 and 1 B450 boards before I was happy lol. I'm not trying to do that this time lol.

My current Crosshair VII is very nice and so I'm afraid to try the MSI, but the MSI has 3 NVMe slots and I now have 2 1tb SX8200 Pros so a 3rd might come in handy down the road..
