BEAST PC cant run MINECRAFT?

I recently got minecraft and everything runs smoothly. a few pc shutdowns and restarts later. the game runs like trash and my other games like skyrim and crossout run so smoothly. My whole pc lags when i have google chrome or opera open but i never game with those open. what can be the cause? i keep restarting my pc and it still happens. any help is appreciated.

 

Edit: My 'last bios time' was 3.6' seconds and now it is '8.8 seconds'

You mentioned a good pc but didn't list the specs

Well by no means is that computer a killer of anything, but I first off I would check out what cpu usage / temperatures look like while you're playing
