Hello, I am currently in school for Cyber Security and I am needing a new machine. Currently, I am operating off of a dell precision t5500. I am going to be using this build for games like Destiny 2, Star craft 2, and some other fps games. I need this machine ready to handle some vm's. Please let me know any suggestions. Thank you

No SSD?

Anyhow, ryzen 3000 literally just launched - there's no reason to buy a 9700k.

I already have a 240gb ssd and a 1tb hdd 7200 rpm drive that I will be carrying over. Would you be able to post a link with what you recommend?

I am right now planning the machine, I will be using tax return/christmas money to build the machine. So waiting for me is not an issue.

General build looks just fine, but I wouldn't recommend getting a single fan RAD for your CPU.

A small tower, like the 212 Evo, would do either as well or better than that one for less cash.

I will have to check it out, thank you.

if it's gonna be that long before you build it then ask around 1-2 weeks before building it, anything we give you now will be irrelevant by then.

Well there is a high chance my mother in law will be getting me some parts for the new machine. That is why I am trying to put something together now as she has been asking my wife at what I like.
