Looking for recommendations for a new smarthphone for a friend. For a "selfie enthusiast" user in need of a smartphone upgrade, what would you suggest?

Currently owning an Asus Selfie Pro (the "newest" one). Main feature I'm looking for is ofc the front facing camera perfomance (indoor expecially) and a screen that doesn't suck or die incredibly fast (which is my main issue with all Zenphones I owned in the past, current one included); secondary features that would be really welcome are battery life, overall performance and casual gaming.

Budget isn't a problem but of course I'd like to pay for something that's worth it and that isn't gonna die in one year.

The front facing camera in the pixel 3 XL is truly breathtaking. Search for some pictures.

All in all, as someone who's had the Pixel 2 XL for a year and a half now, the phone's working for me without a hitch even though I'm constantly on beta, through my super heavy use (it's my only entertainment system). I really do trust the pixel brand, and that's the phone I would get in general.

If you're looking for something cheaper, check out the 3a, but I'm not sure about it's camera.

Gonna check that out, but I wonder about the screen panel.. being an OLED shouldn't give burn pixel problems?

Almost every phone is OLED these days. There was talk about burn in with the 2 XL (even though I didn't get any), and they improved the display a whole lot with the 3 XL.
