i5 upgrade?

I have been thinking about upgrading my i5-4590. But i wanted to stay on the same socket. So i thought about getting a i7-4790. The reason why is because ive been noticing a cpu bottle neck in battle feild 5 and other games with my gtx 1060 and i5. So i want to know if it would be a noticeable upgrade or if i should go with a different socket
