Do all fans are same.. or do they differ from each other. I got a cooler master processor fan from a scrap computer. But it doesn't fit to my H81M-K motherboard. I dont know what is the reason. I m newbie to hardware. Help me out with this.

Thanks in advance

What do you mean by "It doesn't fit"? The connector is different or the fan is too big?

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

The heatsink will have the hardware to mount onto a specific socket. If you try to mount a socket LGA1151 cooler on an AM4 motherboard for example, it will not have the correct mounting hardware.

Most cooler vendors offer kits to retrofit coolers to fit multiple sockets.

Your motherboard has socket LGA1150. What cooler are you trying to mount?

Screwdriver specs: Long, pointy. Turns things. Some kind of metal.

Coolar master cooler but i took then from a pentium board think so.. i m using a normal fan for my i5 4440 in H81M-K..  i find over heating like it reaches around 90°C. So give an idea to avoid overheating. I used msi afterburner to check my video card it is stable 36°c but my processor gets way upto 90°C for normal surfing and watching videos in utube.

That fan is bad, even Ryzen stock cooler is better than that one. No reason to put it in a new PC.

Did u see my post? So what type of fan should i buy for H81M-K. My processor gets heated. I didn't apply coolant after i cleaned my pc. Will coolant solve my prob r should i change my fan??

Coolant? Thermal Paste you mean? Fans don't need coolant.

You mean cooler master. So is it ok to leave with stock fan intel one?? I think it will be better than stock one

That's socket 1150/1151 compatible, and will be better than the stock cooler.

Yeah, just leave the stock one.

The heatsink is too old, and it's not supporting the socket.

The performance will not be better for the looks of it, why bother?

Finetune your heatsink application, clean the dust, change thermal paste, apply WD40 to the motor and all that jazz.

How you guys differentiate the fans. Help me out with this?????

Fans are designated by their overall width. For instance, 120mm and 140mm fans are some of the most common sizes. After that, you might get into static-pressure vs. high-airflow fans, explained here:
