i recently upgraded to rx 570 4gb,with my stock power supply i.e.275 watts, using a sata to 8 pin connector.

all was working fine until i saw a video which said you should have enough psu of the hardware may fail.

then i bought a used psu which is Antec tp3 550watts.

i brought that home and plugged into my motherboard ,it was working fine, then i plugged it into gpu and the computer didnot start.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!?

What happens when you go back to the old PSU?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

That PSU is over 10 years old. First came out around 2006 or earlier. Even if it did work, you shouldn't use it. Whoever sold you that piece of junk ripped you off.

Buy a new PSU.

What CPU do you have? If it has integrated graphics then remove the Rx 570 and use integrated graphics with your old power supply until you buy a new suitable PSU.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Don't do that, first off, we don't know what the issue is yet. Right now we only know that the GPU doesn't seem to be working and that the PSU was new.

1. Replace the parts back to the last known working configuration before you start spending money.

2.  If you then know that none of your parts are broken, try to swap in the new PSU and check to see if you have power AND signal.

3. If you still have no signal, remove the GPU and check the integrated graphics to see if the pc can post. IF you still have problems. Then look at purchasing a new PSU.

I would refund the Antec if possible.

AND i dont know what the problem is but as i remove 8 pin of the psu and use a sata to 8 pin the system works fine.

in your opinion should i use sata to 8 pin or suggest me a psu.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

The Antec true power trio has 6pin PCIe connectors, not 8pin... The 8pin (4+4) cable on your PSU is an EPS12v cable, NOT PCIe for graphics cards. That's why it's not working.

Buy a new PSU. One with the appropriate connectors. What country are you in, what's available, and what's your budget?

2)Redragon RGPS GC-PS002 550W 80+ Bronze Gaming PC Power Supply

3)Corsair VS Series VS550 — 550 Watt Power Supply - CP-9020171-UK

Thermaltake Litepower is not good

Never heard of the Reddragon PSU, can't find any information about it.
Corsair VS series is budget psu but better than the Thermaltake Litepower and far better than the Antec TruePower Trio. Would work with your system.

Within your budget the Corsair VS is probably going to be the best you can find.

I also calculated my power needs it says that you'll need 450 watts,so should l buy 450w or 550w?

More like 300W. A [good] 450W PSU would be fine.

I just bought RX 570 4GB graphics card. I am also from Pakistan. I need to purchase PSU for this card. Are you using Corsair VS550 with this card? if not what PSU are you currently using? For how long? Please share you experience to help me.
