Cheap CPUs for single core perofrmance

I want to set up a Minecraft server with a few friends from parts from eBay. After finding out that Minecraft is a single-threaded game, does anybody know good CPUs under 30-50 bucks that have good single-core performance?

Should be able to find an Athlon 200GE for about $50 on eBay. They're solid newer chips that could be upgraded in the future.

I got a ps5 and a pc pretty ballin

Assuming you can find a used Z97/updated Z87 board that isn't inflated in price, I'd imagine that + a used G3258 should be pretty cheap. Got one in my jack-of-all-trades server chillin at 4.6 and it does fine. Hell, does better than a friend's 8350 at 4.5 and it does roughly as well as another friend's 9700K at stock.

I did find a Xeon E3-1225 V2 online for 20 bucks online (Same as the G3258), however, according to UserBenchmark, the G3258 is still better. (https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Xeon-E3-1225-V2-vs-Intel-Pentium-G3258/m5015vs2434)

I think I should go with the G3258 because it is newer, more power efficient, but upgrading is not much of an option since the i7 4790k does not offer a big improvement single thread performance wise and is way too expensive when newer cheaper options are available. BTW I probably will be using it to run a modded server (Attack of the B Team on the Technic launcher). But, I have heard that people have made Minecraft multi-threaded. Is that true?
