Sql Server For Small Business

Hello everyone,

My grandfather has tasked me with creating a server for his business and I have a small team with some people more knowledgeable than I but I am building the physical Server and need to know what is needed to run an sql server that will interface with 40,000 companies I've been told (could be BS).

So basically I need to know what hardware an sql server needs?

SQL servers are most demanding on harddrives the specs of the rig doesnt have to be anything special

Do not use SSD's. SQL DBs write/read a lot and will wear down the SSD quickly. Get some enterprise grade HDDs like WD Red drives
