Containing Network/Serves

Hello, I'm looking to build my own home lab with servers and clients. But I want to make sure that I can receive the internet but make sure the DHCP and all of the network settings I setup is contained into the home lab and doesn't get out. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Create a subnet in your home network

VLAN or buy/virtualize a second router.

Just sounds like I need to put another router between my main router and my home lab
