I’m thinking about the future and what it holds for my pc. Any input on what would benefit the most

Specs:

r7 2700x (stock fan, no oc yet)

B-450 f gaming motherboard

G.skill trident 16 go ddr4 3200mhz

Seagate barracuda 2tb

Gigabyte GeForce gtx 1070 ti 8gb

Full atx crystal 570x

evga supernova 750 g3 80+ 750w

My personal choice

1. Case fan, Corsair (time: 1 month)

2. 16gb more ram, same (time: 3 months)

3. SSD, Samsung 500 gb (time: Christmas)

4. Motherboard, crosshair series (time: Christmas)

5. Gpu, SLI 1070 ti (time: eventually)

Some of these upgrades that I’m thinking about  (graphics card) are long term but I’m curious what other people think

New ryzen CPUs, new Radeon GPUs, and Nvidia super graphics cards, is the focus for the PC gaming?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I think there are other aspects of PC gaming/usage that should be looked at too.  Audio?  Keyboard/mouse?  Chair?  Monitor?

I don't see an SSD listed.  Are you at least booting off one?

Your system looks great.  Are you looking to upgrade cuz you have the itch?  Or does it not do something well?

It’s been since I built it that changes have been made so it’s definitely the itch. SSD is one of the first on the list ( soon). About the other things listed I’m new to the pc scene so those parts are a work in progress, I’m hoping to get moving on them.

I'd get an SSD sooner rather than later, as in right this minute.

Then I'd look into the other things listed, I wouldn't touch the PC really.  Are you gaming in 1080p?

I try to push my pc in that sense, so yeah I’m in 1080/ 4K on forza

In the sense of accessories, i think the next thing is a moniter though, again I’m fairly new to pc so I’m running of the 4K tv I have for my Xbox as well.

So so in order ssd, moniter/sound, ram?

Personally ram is decently cheap so I was thinking it’s a good exchange in price for Benifit and it gives me room for later

yes, but it depends on the monitor you get.  That GPU won't rock 4K and that CPU won't rock 240Hz 1080p.  I would recommend a 1440p either regular or Ultrawide, it'll look as good 4K and be easier to drive.

Decent sound is important to me.  I'm no audiophile but I know what sounds good to me, and what I have does the trick for now.

RAM... what is your usage?  If you're nearing the limit, grab some more as it's cheap lately.  If you don't break 10GB usage, I wouldn't buy any at this point.

That’s good info thanks, I’m not picky with  audio either and I agree with what you said. The ram is just a long term thing. Like you said it’s been cheap recently and I wouldn’t have to upgrade for later so i could take it or leave it

I’ll check later, I was thinking about it while on vacation when talking to my family who has some pc people in it and was wondering what people thought.
