Hi!

I have the router that my ISP "gave" me and the wifi quality isn't very good. I mean, I live in a medium size apartement and when I go to some rooms the wifi signal is very weak or sometimes null. It's a DOCSIS modem/router combo and the antennas are all internal.

I came up with some solutions and I'd like to ear your opinions.

The solutions I thought of were:

  1. Add a second router. Even tho my router is also my modem there is a way to bridge a port and use a secondary router instead of the included (very bad) one;
  2. Use a powerline and another router. This would be a very expensive solution but it would deliver very good performance, the powerline would go to another room and I'd place the router there;

Do you have other suggestions?

Thanks!

Or better yet get an ethernet cable

Too much work and I'd need the router any way. And having a huge ethernet cable running from my living room to a bedroom wouldn't be very pretty to see and routing them thru the walls is just way too much trouble.
