I recently shifted from full time mac usage to majority PC usage.

In macOS, I can configure bettertouchtool to let me resize windows and move windows using a combo of the keyboard and mouse. When hovering over a window, and a custom keyboard combo is held down (for me, it was cmd+option+shift), moving to mouse will result in resizing the window. A separate but similar key combo can be specified to move the window when the moving the mouse.

Can I emulate this in Windows 10? I use an ultrawide and it made window management easy. I don't care for the dell display manager app and for being constrained to predefined window layouts.

Win-key+arrows does basic moving and resizing. Double click on header bar toggles between full screen and off. Do you need more than that? If so, look into Autohotkey.

Hold Shift+Right-click on the program on the task bar, or right-click on the program icon on the title bar (may not exists) and pick: "Size". Now you can use the around keys to resize the window.

Used to be easier to access back in Windows 9x days, but lack of needing it mix with the near never use, in terms of usage, it is being berried.

I appreciate the tips, however that still isn’t what I’m looking for. BetterTouchTool (mac app) let me hover anywhere over a window, hold a key combo, and resize/move a window precisely with my mouse.

I’m guessing there isn’t an equivalent app for windows. :(

Look into autohotkey or some Window manager. Those might be what you are looking for. I know that this is out of the reach of basic functions for DisplayFusion. But something else might be better.

I'll check it out later today and report back. This capability is life changing for anyone working on an ultrawide.

edit: I'm an idiot who can't search. This is good enough for me to modify and use. LogicalDRM: thank you for the AHK tip. https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/scripts/EasyWindowDrag_(KDE).htm
