I wanted to squeeze out some more performance from my dying PC rig, so I tried to OC the GPU

GPU: GT 730 2GB DDR3

- My 730 is actually an OEM-made one (Samsung) and it has a really small fan. Like really small. I think the diameter is around 5 cm.

- I think I don't have any case fans too.

- Used MSI Afterburner and OC'd memory and core clocks by 60mHz, GPU went from 50 -> 80 within 3 minutes into Unigine Valley

- In game testing: GPU pulls back to 500~600 mHz clock at 64 C

Would OCing this card be possible? How much should I do?

Well as long as the clock speeds aren't locked you should be able to overclock it (I don't think they are on that card). As for how far that is completely up the the gpu core itself, cooling and power limits. Try bumping up the clocks and running a benchmark like unigine valley until you hit instability (artefacts, crashing etc.) also keep an eye on gpu temps and make sure they don't get too high (I would typically say don't go above 85C). For a more detailed explanation look at this video.

Don't bother overclocking that card as it will do nothing but give you piss poor results.

Stupid comment, it will give him better results regardles sof what you specify as piss poor.

Well your somewhat correct.  But I stand firm on my comment that OCing that POS card will do nothing for performance.  Maybe ti will go from 30fps to 32fps ... thats about it.
