i7 6700 (6th gen) is a few generations old now. Like, 4 years old? Intel is on 9th gen now.
Are you looking at used systems or buying new?

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

If you're buying used there's a huge market and you'll find pretty high-end and recent parts under that budget.

Are you going for new stuff there's a ton of better stuff for the money than the i7 6700, like @Spotty said- it's a few generations old now.

I agree with @NunoLava1998, and if you can wait a bit longer, you may want to consider a 3600x instead

Hell, if you can spend 750$ you can get a full build that's pretty good too (Ryzen 5 1600, B450 motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 500GB SSD, RTX 2060, 450W PSU):

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux
