So yesterday some of my tower's usb ports stopped working I supposed it was a motherboard issue so I send it to warranty, but when I came home I i wanted to use an old pc to replace the tower while it was in warranty so turned my pc on and plugged my peripherals.

Firstly I plugged my headset and it was working like it was suposed to, but then I plugged my keyboard and my mouse and none of them were working. Then I switched the usb ports I was using and they still weren't working and when i tried to plug a older mouse I had  it also didn't work in NONE of the 4 usb ports.

Now I am worried that the it might be the peripherals killing the usb ports, but the thing is:I dont if thats possible or this is all a coincidence.

Pls help a fellow tech enthusiast.

Ps:I have the mouse and keyboard for over 3 years and they never had a problem.

I had a Steelseries WoW mmo mouse back in the day that had an aluminum-brushed cover. When the Santa Ana winds kicked up, the air would get charged and whenever I touched the mouse I would get a shock and would see the leds flash bright. It killed that usb port.
