Hi guys,

im in a dilemma, my computer broke completely down and now I'm shopping for a new one. With the new CPUs from ryzen coming up I have to be a little bit more patient however my dilemma is with the graphics cards.

I'm gaming at 1440p and my curent budget i can afford the 2080 strix.

Now should I go for the rx 5700 xt or just the rtx 2080 or 2080 super. Whats also a question mark with release date. I'm willing to wait till half juli my wife is already going nuts with me taking her tv. I know that the rtx 2080 is the best and the 5700xt is still a unknown and only coming close to 2070. But is it worth it at 1440p uw to get a 2080 and spend so much, I don't really care about raytrace. (Yet).

What do you guys think.

Another options would be:  2070 super

Would really have to wait until the cards are released and independently tested before knowing the answer to that. Less than 2 weeks for the Navi release and Nvidia Super announcement (rumoured?).

Ya I get his point however that's only the case if you have working PC which I do not and im more or less depending on my pc. So ya im still waiting till release of ryzen. But i can't wait any longer then early / mid July. Which is also the time that the price drops have occurred

My mainboard is giving a boot beep but it showing nothing on screen, now I switch my card with a friends card and my system still didn't show anything on screen and the same problem occurred at my friend system when I put my card in his system. No error beeps just boot beep. Means gpu error. And putting a new working gpu in my system and still the same error means pci-e most likely broken. Also because my card is also not working. In my friends system also means my card is dead. That's how i came to the conclusion. Ofc could be something els on board. But that doesn't really matter because that means I still have to buy a new mainboard and gpu. So the end. Time to upgrade
