You work part time? Also if it takes a vert long time wouldn't it be easier to save up and buy the newest stuff

If your going to be doing a lot of video editing, why not stick to one 7870 (cheaper, performs better than a 660ti), and spend the rest on a 3770k? so It would be:

  • 3770k
  • MSI GD45 (example)
  • 7870

15" MBP TB

AMD 5800X | Gigabyte Aorus Master | EVGA 2060 KO Ultra | Define 7 || Blade Server: Intel 3570k | GD65 | Corsair C70 | 13TB

 Yeah I would go for something like the AMD FX-8350. I got that and do a lot of video editing/rendering and 3D modeling/rendering and it is MUCH faster than my old computer that had an i7. And 16GB of RAM is plenty.

I also like gaming plus i like some money left over to make my build look nice so i could save some money sticking with AMD for now...

I plan on switching to intel some day down the road, but that won't happen untill i get a better source of income

Thanks for the info, when I get some cash together for the video cards i think i'll buy an Asus  7870 maybe one more and crossfire them.
