Overpriced just like most pre-builts. You could easily build that system yourself for probably $150 less or more.

Here's a PCpartpicker, this has 16GB of ram, a better GPU, and a better motherboard for future upgrades if you wanted to go for an unlocked i5 or the i7 as well as a 480GB Solid State Drive instead of that 1TB standard mechanical drive. However the GPU price is low because it is the used price, if you want a new one add $60. But you can find them used on Ebay all day at around $100 or less for good quality models.

You could at least get a better mobo, or at least not overspend on a mobo you cant OC with due to locked CPU

Falls into the non-ht trap and allready suffers from some minor stuttering in select titles. This will just get worse.

And that why this build shouldnt be bought. Also its bad value......

Why would you use such slow memmory? Memmory speed does matter.

First off, I put this together to prove a point that the prebuilt OP listed is overpriced I did not tell OP to buy it nor did I say it was the best they could do, all of your points are valid and I agree with them except for two. I wouldn't recommend that OP get either build the one I linked or the pre-built, OP should wait for Zen 2 Ryzen or build a system using the Ryzen 5 2600.

The EVGA G3 550w is a quality budget power supply, 80+ Gold and fully modular for the price it's at is beyond fair in my opinion It's also a B-tier in the budget options of the PSU Tier List. I've used it in several builds and never had a problem.

2400mhz for a non-unlocked Intel CPU is more than sufficient anyone that's tested the difference between 2400mhz and 3000mhz ram with newer Intel processors for gaming especially locked CPUs knows that the performance difference is null. If OP plans on rendering or doing any sort of editing also, then 3000mhz would be recommended but a budget build for gaming with an i5-9400f, 2400mhz is perfectly fine. Or if it were a Ryzen system then I would recommend 3000mhz but it is not.

The PSU has issues. Its why its in B-tier.

There is nothing budget about it, its 89$ for gods sake.

Which reminds me to get the to change the name of the PSU tier list. As i feared, people missunderstand when you name something "budget".

The 9400f relies on memmory aswell ik gaming. According to benchmarking done to see what effect memory speeds has. Depending on the game it can significantly impact the overall framerate and 1% lows. This is to any modern CPU btw. Ryzen just likes memmory more than sandybridge derivatives in more workloads.

You never stated it was a draft giving the impression its a build suggestion. Even going through suggesting used parts which is not something one does in a draft.

See that is the problem with me trying to build my own system, I have never built one before and I am afraid I would forget something like operating system, wifi compatible board, or like a sound system, not to mention actually assembling it in the first place.

There are tutorials that take you through the process step by step. I can understand the hurdle of doing it yourself tho.

I would suggest doing it yourself if you have roughly 3 hours on hand.
