PCIE cable for 970

So i got a MSI gtx 970 from one of my mates and i had to get some pcie cables for the power supply and up until now ive bought two cables and both of them didnt work so i was wondering if someone out there knows what cable to use or if they have any links to ones cause ive just lost my patience 

 

My PC has a corsair CX750M power supply
