Well, Ive started to notice that I have very incosistent FPS. For example when I start playing a game sometimes it wont go past 45-50 fps, but other times it will stay capped at 75 in same areas. It happens in all games (state of decay, gta v, the witcher 3, forza horizon 4, sea of thieves, metro exodus, fallout 4, skyrim, etc.) Restarting the game sometimes seems to fix the issue but not all the times.

I dont really know what might be causing this, maybe temps?

Im playing on a laptop, but I always activate the max speed for the fans. GPU temps always stay between 78-85c, cpu does get to high 80s, 90s, but its not overclocked.

Gpu is a 1080, and cpu is an i7 7820hk

probably thermal throttling imo.

thats what Im thinking, but the wierd thing is that it doesnt happens always. Forgot to mention that also alt tabbing sometimes fixes the issue.

edit: Could this be a driver issue?

Consider checking on your drivers but yea pretty much it might be your system slowing itself down due to high temps. Check your thermal pastes and replace them if needed.
