You're not going to find a PSU better than that one for under $100

The NEXGold is Corsair VS tier (maybe CX tier)... The fuck are you getting that from?

Anyway, it should work but it's not a really good power supply. If you have an expensive rig or something, I would suggest going for the RM650x or prime ultra 650w from seasonic (efficiency doesn't matter; it's a 4% difference for much more money).

my pc specs are i7800k,16gb ram,gtx1080 ssd

I would upgrade it to a SeaSonic Prime Ultra Gold 650W then.

It's available from B&H for 114.99$ with a 20$ mail in rebate, from SuperBiiz for 109.99$ and from Amazon for 114.99$.

It might seem like much, but the Prime Ultra is singlehandedly one of the best PSUs you can get, period.

Here's some tips and facts about the PSU I'm recommending you:

  • The Prime Ultra Gold is fully modular. DO NOT throw out the included cables. Keep any cables you don't use in the PSU's original box.
  • 650W is more than enough for your build.
  • The Prime Ultra series has a ten year warranty and is comparable to a Corsair AXi (except for efficiency. If you want a power supply nearly identical to the AXi, get a Prime Ultra Titanium instead).
