RX 580 high TEMPERATURE

My Rx 580 is actually joking... I can't touch the case after playing one hour of bfv what's the issue

That's not a proper assesment for the temperature.

Get a real temp reading software like MSI Afterburner.

80c is not bad at all. That's a normal temp for a full loaded gpu.

You should worry if it hits 100c.

Yeah, that's not horrible, but can probably be improved by tweaking the fan curve.

In Radeon settings, you can adjust how fast the fans spin at certain temperatures.

Click and drag the little balls on the line.

 

Dragging them up will increase fan speed, dragging them down will lower it.

Dragging them left will decrease how hot the card needs to get before spinning the fan at that speed, dragging right will increase that.

 

The line itself is just a visual of how it will transition between those points.

MHz is fine. You just want to tweak fan speed.

Play around with that curve, find a balance of temperatures and noise that you like.

I have a RX 570 that's overclocked, I have the fan curve set very aggressively once it reaches 65 degrees or higher but I'm mostly using VR where I don't even hear the fans.
