Graphics card suddenly stopped working

Pushpak

I had Zotac GTX 1050 2GB mini for almost 2 years it worked fine no random Restarts but suddenly it stopped working. It is't givining black screen it just ain't booting at all monitor turn off so heres what excately happening

1) If graphics card is inserted computer just dont boot up neither from GPU output nor motherboard output.(which technically should work) monitor shows message "Power Saving mode" which is unusual because it show No Signal if its VGA pin is not connnected (both messages are monitor generated )

2)If Graphics card is removed from system then only System boot No problem

This concern me since pc wont boot even if the monitor is connected to motherboard if GPU is inserted

So is it that my Graphics card is out of service or I'm lacking power

Also I noticed that motherboard has 24 pin connector but it is connected with 20 pin connector and 4 pins are open and my PSU dont have 24 pin connector since its old and it is of 300 W

but It worked well for 2 years i dont understand what excatly wrong

What are the complete specs for your build?

sounds odd that your PSU doesnt have a 24 pin connector on it.

Don’t know enough about motherboards to give you a definite answer, but as an educated guess... not having 24 pins for a 24 pin mobo doesn’t sound right. That psu of yours is probably 13 years old or more I assume.

time for a new PSU / system perhaps?

yes that is definitely a thing but I am more concerned with GPU I ran a few test I realize GPU does get hot when motherboard is given start signal and also fan on GPU spins but there isnt any display o/p So I am concerned if the GPU is faulty or not
