keyboard for xbox one

hey guys I am trying to get a wireless keyboard and mouse for my friend, there are 2 main rules he has given me they are has to be RGB because that looks cool, and also it needs to be compatible with xbox, he is looking for a couch setup (his couch is about 6metres from the xbox ). my current idea is to have a 10 meter usb extender from his xbox to his couch and then a cheap usb splitter to split it to keyboard and mouse, I was wondering if this would work
