Ram issue

So my ram is rated 3000mhz and when i go into task manager its locked at 1500mhz and i went into bios and enables xmp and it says its 3000 but task manager says 1500 i have a msi b450-A PRO

with team vulcan ram can anyone help plz

DDR stands for Double Data Rate, meaning the actual frequency is 1500MHz while the EFFECTIVE frequency is 3000MHz. Nothing wrong, it just looks not right if you haven't seen it before.

Ok just making sure but it didnt do this until the windows 1903 update weird

Download CPU-Z and check that. Task manager is not reliable. Mine says 2133MHz. CPU-Z says 1600MHz, which is half of the effective speed of 3200MHz.

Possible change from your previous version which could explain this:

hmm... Task Manager reports full DDR speed, like for me i have 1600mhz RAM and it shows exactly that unlike Speccy or some other third party software.
