Help with PC build

This would be my first time building a PC on my own, and I want to make sure I'll do it right. I read the specs for the things I want, but even then it all still flew over me and I want to make sure what I have listed is compatible with one another, thank you for any help!

1. Budget & Location

Up to $6,000 preferable around $3,000(USD)

2. Aim

High-end gaming.

3. Monitors

One 2560x1440 monitor

4. Peripherals

Nope!

5. Why are you upgrading?

My current PC was built back in 2011 and only upgraded once: the year after the Nvidia 1060 was dropped. I want to replace it completely, plus my current one has a broken case, crappy fans, and overall just isn't pleasing to me. Been looking to upgrade my PC for a while and now that I got the money I want to finalize it and make sure it all runs well. To-buy is below(feel free to tell me if there's something better or if there are any changes I could make.

H100i Liquid CPU cooler: $129.99

Carbide SPEC RGB Mid: $169.99

Vengeance RGB 32GB:$189.99

HX1000i Power Supply(1000 Watts): $239.99

Z390 AORUS Ultra: $239.99

Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB w/ Corsair Dual SSD Mount: $297.98

Intel Core i9-9900K: $484.99

GTX 2080: $799.00

TOTAL: $2,551.92

If this is your only purpose you don't need a HX1000i, you don't need an i9 9900K nor you need 32GB of memory and air coolers are cheaper and better.

Reallocate your funds into an i7 9700K with 16GB of memory a RM550x and like a Dark Rock Pro 4 so you can afford a RTX 2080 Ti instead and have far higher-end gaming performance/experience.

Or wait for 7nm Zen 2 goodness

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Waiting another month until Zen 2 is what I would suggest also, the new processors look very promising. If you can wait I definitely suggest it. But if you can't heres a PCpartpicker list of what I would do for the build.

Main Desktop: CPU - i9-14900k | Mobo - Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 | GPU - ASUS TUF Gaming OC RTX 4090 RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 64GB 3600mhz | AIO - H150i Pro XT | PSU - Corsair RM1000X | Case - Phanteks P500A Digital - White | Storage - Samsung 970 Pro M.2 NVME SSD 512GB / Sabrent Rocket 1TB Nvme / Samsung 860 Evo Pro 500GB / Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2tb Nvme / Samsung 870 QVO 4TB  |

TV Streaming PC: Intel Nuc CPU - i7 8th Gen | RAM - 16GB DDR4 2666mhz | Storage - 256GB WD Black M.2 NVME SSD |

Aorus Pro motherboard that comes with integrated wireless if you need it

32GB of RAM if you so wish (drop it down to 16GB if you want to save some money)

RTX 2080 Ti, nothing to see here

Meshify C for maximum airflow to feed the air cooler

OP gave a pretty big $3000 budget, that a 9900K + RTX2080Ti any day of the week. I even fit an IPS 144hz monitor into the list and still came up over $100 short of 3000.

Op have big budget, so I worked with that. Mobo and PSU can change sure. The reason I chose the kingpin is because it is the fastest 2080ti on the market, and by changing the CPU to 8700k, and other small stuff,.I was.able.to fit that in.

On what basis? Gigabyte's water-cooled Aorus Xtreme Waterforce has a higher core clock and higher boost clock, while being $500 cheaper.

Zotac AMP Extreme again higher core clock & boost clock, and one of the better cooler designs, is below $1300.

I don't see why you need the Kingpin that is $300 more than even the 2nd most expensive RTX2080 Ti (the Gigabyte Windforce OC)

While talking on @LukeSavenije discord server, a few days back, we were discussing 2080ti, and we decided the Evga kingpin was fastest, with the Galax hof at second.

yeah... but except if you're really hardcore overclocking, you don't need them

something like an aorus waterforce, sea hawk x, gaming x trio or aorus xtreme for example are great cards already

You can get a Gigabyte RTX 2080 ti Gaming OC for $700 less and have a 4 year warranty. That saving can be spent better elsewhere, or kept to one side for future upgrades etc.

Why would you get that board when the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra is $239 ? Even the Z390 Aorus Master is cheaper at $259.99.
