having an android and iphone question

so i currently have a iPhone Xr and was wondering if getting a S10 or S10+ to change bwteen iPhone and Android to keep things fresh for whenever i feel like would be worth it or if i should just use the money and grab the iPhone 11 max when it releases?

honestly, i would just keep your XR until it doesn't suit your needs anymore, then buy whatever phone you like

not planning on getting rid of the Xr was thinking about grabbing a S10 or S10+ to change between them every once in a while or just wait for september and change the Xr for the 11 max

are you a fan of IOS / android?

everything in android is customizable, also s10 have many handy feature iphone will never have, sd card/ headphone jack / samsung dex etx

i like both equally which is why i was thinking about owning both

Are you likely to use both if you were to get a higher end Android phone too? Most apps are available on both and can share data so it is the differences that will be interesting. Also is there a particular reason for Samsung? Only saying that as they kinda do their own thing and it is a bit different from stock Android.

my friend has the S10+ and i like it but im stuck on a phone plan for my Xr which is why i was thinking about buying a used S10 or + for a reasonable price and swapping the sim every now and then

yeah, im having a hard time deciding if i should add a S10+ to my account making my bill 200ish per month to switch between android/ios or just waiting it out for the 11 and grab the 11 max lol

It's not like switching between Windows and Apple laptops because there are programs not available in one of them

XR and S10 have both amazing camera, amazing displays, amazing speakers, amazing battery life... I think you are jealous of your friend's phone, maybe your friend won't stop bragging about the S10 and how supposedly superior it is to an iPhone?

I had the Xs Max and I had a ton of issues with it so I switched to the Xr considering waiting for the 11 max to upgrade to will cost me 300$ in sept to upgrade early

my Xs Max would randomly drop service or tank my LTE speeds until i restarted the device, apple would not replace it as they said nothing is wrong with the phone and to talk to my carrier and everytime i did they said everything is fine and talk to apple. i almost decided to intintially break the back of it to force a replacement but decided to say F it paid the early upgrade fee got the Xr so im locked in device payment and if i dont end up grabbing a S10+ to use side by side with my Xr ill end up paying the early upgrade fee again in september to get the 11 Max or w/e they call it lol

Try the Pixel, especially the cheaper 3a. It's a nice experience so far and I don't think I'll ever go back to a third party manufacturer, but then again I'm a light and casual user so perhaps it'll depend on what you do with your phone.
