Hey all,

I'm trying to use my Samsung T5 SSD as a extended storage solution on my ps4 pro.. However When I try to format it on the ps4.. it gives me the "Cannot format this usb storage device as extended storage" then lists the requirements(Usb 3.0 or later, 250gb minimum, directly connected to the ps4). I have it formatted as exfat as well.

Not sure what the problem is... I used this drive on the PS4 last year then took it off and used it on my pc for awhile.. but now it is giving me this error when trying to use it on the PS4..

Anyone have any idea?

Update: Fixed for anyone that is looking for a fix as well.. Apparently it has been happening to others... Taping the middle to lanes forced the ps4 to use 3.0. Worked for me.
