Titan X Pascal bottleneck?

Hey all,

I recently got back into the pc game a couple of months ago, and I built my 2nd complete rig. Specs are updated in profile, but I originally had a ryzen 5 2600 and a gtx 1070 and I loved it. But I managed to get an insane deal on a titan X Pascal for under $350, and it performs fantastic. 

Am I bottlenecking this gpu with my current cpu? If so, how much? What tier processor would you recommend to get the most out of my titan?

Dont think you'll have bottleneck in more GPU heavy games since you're running 1440p. I'd advise you to wait till July for Zen 2 before thinking about it even if you have a CPU bottleneck anyway

I agree, I intentionally purchased a higher end motherboard to better support zen 2 if and when I upgrade. I figured what I have now can more than suffice for the time being.

Asus Prime X470-Pro, that? Its VRM components are decent but heatsink is 100% fashion accessory, 0% heat dissipator. Mod that with some real heatsinks

(not the appropriate size but looks something like that) is needed to make it good at handling 150W of CPU. Keep in mind that 2700X does that already and VRM temperatures goes near the thermal throttle point already
